Did You Get the Message?

God has been sending all of us a message in 2021 that is worth embracing as you head into a new year, and this is what He is telling you:

I have made you to be powerful.

It's time for you to make a firm stand on who you are and who He created you to be.

Take charge, find balance, and do the work needed to rid yourself of the deep-rooted issues holding you back from the picture of the life that He has painted for you. It is a masterpiece that should take your

breath away when you look at it. It is vibrant, and you keep looking at it in the dullness of black and white.

It's time to do the work, stop making excuses about your behavior, whether it is drinking, sugar, shopping… the list is endless. It is time to love the mind, soul, and body He has blessed you with.

Believe in yourself and what He can and will do in your life. It is not a matter of simply letting Him; there is work involved here. A date on the calendar is not a rescuer of the things that hold you back in life, but it can be a significant marker in life.

Today, say goodbye to the muddy soil you keep sinking in and step into 2022 on dry solid ground. A motivating foundation of the Holy Ground where you stand with Jesus. Step into this new year with a firm belief that you can step past every single lie you have been telling yourself. If you are unsure how to do this, pray about it today.

When I journal in the mornings, I set my timer for three minutes and get out my red pen, so I will always know what words he spoke to me. Close your eyes and say, "Lord, what do you want to say to me today?" Then let your pen fly as he speaks. It's powerful, and when I go back and look at what I have written, I am usually amazed. These thoughts could come from nowhere but Him.

At the church, I attend in Alabama (yes the one at the Florabama

bar) the pastor ends every service with a question from Romans 8:31.

"What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"

Believe in this truth; it will set you free.

Be free in 2022.
