Testimony Tuesday - Mary's Story

Writer's picture: Sherry HoppenSherry Hoppen

Happy Tuesday and I hope that you had a great 4th of July this past weekend. Ours was pretty low key and I am really good with that. We hung out with some friends and family on our patio and watched all the neighbors shoot off fireworks. We also ate a fabulous brisket that Craig attended to most of the day along with some other goodies. Just a really good laid back day. Now here we are on Tuesday and I have another interview for you.

Today's interview is with my friend Mary. A young woman who definitely had a moment that brought her to her knees and into recovery. Her message is a riveting account of the journey that she was on that brought her to knees and into recovery.

I hope this message speaks to you, it certainly did to me. Honestly, it brought me to tears while she was speaking and again when I listened to the song she quotes. It is Redeemed by Big Daddy Weave.

"All my life I have been called unworthy

Named by the voice of my shame and regret

But when I hear you whisper "child lift up your head"

I remember oh God you're not done with me yet"

You can here the rest of the song here https://youtu.be/VzGAYNKDyIU

Thank you Mary for sharing your hard story with us. Listen to it here

Remember to leave a message for Mary in our community: shesurrenders.com/community

Have a great Tuesday!

I created the She Surrenders Community because it’s what I longed for during my own journey—a space for Christian women to find connection and support from others who understand. My prayer is that this community blesses you as deeply as it has blessed me.
